TZHunter Posted November 11, 2007 Report Posted November 11, 2007 Being pretty new here, I haven't learned how to do this. I'm hoping there's a quick answer to my question. Is there a way to find all the topics/threads that you've (or I) contributed to without having to remember which categories they were in, searching for them one at a time? I know about the "View New Posts" option, but when I only have a few minutes, I'd like to quickly see if there is any responses or further comments to the Topics I've either started or contributed to. Thanks in advance! Quote
TZHunter Posted November 11, 2007 Author Report Posted November 11, 2007 After posting this, I found a possible solution. . . tell me if there's a better one . . . Use the Search Option (blue at top of page). . .choose "More Search Options", then insert your Leatherworker.net "Name" under the "Filter by Member Name" section . . . then Search. . . any Topic that has your "name" in it shows up. Moderator Johanna Posted November 11, 2007 Moderator Report Posted November 11, 2007 Two ways: Click your (or another member's) name to the left of a post. If you are logged in, the drop down menu will offer to show member topics and posts. Second way is to click your name to go to your profile (or click "my controls" on the top menu). In the center are the options for posts and topics. Let me know if you have any problems viewing profiles, because I'm trying to resolve a bug in the software. Johanna Quote
Members fortysomething Posted November 11, 2007 Members Report Posted November 11, 2007 (edited) I have found that when you click on the member's name (at the left side of a post) you get a drop down box. One of the options is "Find Member's Posts." That takes you to the posts. It works for your own posts as well as for other members. Looks like Johanna beat me to the answer. TZHunter Posted November 11, 2007 Author Report Posted November 11, 2007 Thanks to you BOTH ! I'll now learn even more (and quicker) from my time on leatherworker.net Quote
Contributing Member ClayB Posted November 11, 2007 Contributing Member Report Posted November 11, 2007 Another thing you can do is click on MY CONTROLS at the top of the main page. When the next page opens up, scroll down to Options on the left side of the page and then click on Email Settings. When that page opens, go to the bottom of it and click the box by Enable 'Email Notification' by default? If ticked, choose default type: No Email Notification Immediate Email Notification Delayed Emailed Notification Daily Email Digest Weekly Email Digest Enabling this option will automatically subscribe you to any topic you start or reply to. You will then get an email notification if someone responds to a topic you started or replied to and the email will contain a link to take you directly to that topic. Quote
Billsotx Posted November 11, 2007 Report Posted November 11, 2007 Take a look at Options > Track this topic on the very first post in each thread. You can do that on categories also. You're right we're all learning and we'll learn more if we keep asking. LW is the place to look for help. We're right at 5,000 members - WOW! - Jo's got a good thing going here, and we're young yet. Then there's some folks that don't know what they're missing, but a closed mind is like an unopen book. Uuuurrrrraaaahhhhh Leatherworker.net! Kudos Johanna! Quote
