I just started selling my gunbelts for concealed carry back in mid Dec 06. Sold 7 at the gun show in Dec. Sold 2 more to customers since the show. Took the rest to a local gun shop/gun range and put them on consignment. They made a separate section just for my belts. Went back today and they sold 2 more belts. The owner says the customers were very impressed with my belts. As any of you that have a part or full time leather business know, it's great to get some sold and more than that the feedback is very gratifying!!!!! Dang, sure made my day. Just had to tell someone!!

Here's what I am making:

Nice looking belts. What type and weight leather did you use?

Hi Grumpy,

I use double layer of 8 oz veg tanned cow, some of these have 8 oz bull on the back side. I didn't notice much difference between the two. They work the same as far as I can tell. This was my first leater order from Zack White and I'm impressed with their leather. There was very little waste. These belts come out to 1/4 in thick.

My belts are glued, sewn, and the buckle end is glued and riveted. Makes for a study belt and makes concealed carry a lot more comfortable. I relly enjoy doing the belts.

Gunfighter, I know your using 2 pieces of leather to make these, but I was wondering on the weight? My 17 y.o. son Benton, wants me to make him one similar to the top black one you posted. How wide do you normally make a CCW belt, or is there a normal? Very nice looking by the way and you have a fan in Benton and that says a lot. I got Kevin (King) to make him a wallet for Christmas so he is a little spoiled about his leather work,LOL. Anyway thanks for letting me pick your brain!
