A lot of the time I just use water and paper towel . Rinse well  in water, and clean/dry brushes with paper towel . The paper towel removes pretty much all of the dye, both water based  and alcohol based. Simple.

I normally just use wool daubers.  They are dedicated to a certain color.  These I keep in a ziploc baggie with the color of the dye written on the baggie in sharpie.  When I use a small brush, I have one of those jars ladies use to remove fingernail polish.  I dip the brush in there, then dab it off on a paper towel.  Works very well.  Something like this...

dish soap and water, wash, rinse until clean and then shape with your spit, let dry.
