Class 26 flip down edge guide adapter...

Recommended Posts

Is it possible to buy just an adapter for class 26 for flip down edge guide?  I have a flip down edge guide already kicking around that looks exactly like the one sold by leather machine co.  My class 26 machine arrives tomorrow I believe , and I guess I need adapter plate for it to work?

Following along here, I am in the same situation. I bought an edge guide for $25 and now can't adapt it.

Looking at the one that the leather machine company has on their website ( https://leathermachineco.com/product/flip-down-roller-edge-guide/ ) it appears to be different then the one that they sell with the machine. The one's in the video showing how to install them shows a flat chunk of AL with a divot notched out while the one I referenced and is listed is for the Class 26 is just a flat plate. As I see it you have two options other then buying the adapter plate.

Option 1. Go to Home Depot and pickup a piece of 2 or 3 flat-bar and drill the necessary holes.

Option 2. Find someone with a 3D printer and have them print a copy of the adapter plate with 3D850 filament.

Me, I would do Option 2 as it would be a fairly easy to do.

As @kgg said, some look a little different but all do the same thing, they also have some on Ebay and @Patrick1 sells some. I got a 3/16th thick piece of aluminum and made a L-bracket and drilled the holes out

I finally got my edge guide in that I ordered and no need for any adapters just bolted on and works perfect.  I did order 2 adapters I found online and 1 might work if i really want to use it.   The KB-267 seems like it will work but the KB-09 I ordered would need modification to maybe work.

The edge guide i got is the KG767a, fits like it was made for the machine.

One of my Juki's has the screws for the guide, one of them doesn't.    You need to look on the back of your machine and see if you have the threaded holes needed to mount the guide.

I had holes and already got mine attached and working.  Amazon when i returned the 2 adapters gave me back money and said i didn't have to return the items.
