Wallet template making more professional

Recommended Posts

Guys & gals this is a couple pictures of a tandy wallet. Dont yell to bad at me for that.

Is there any reasons why the top corners could not have been radiused? I think this tri-fold would look a lot professional if it was.

Also do you see any reasons why they could not of sewn across the top of the wallet to have a complete perimeter of stitching.

Yes the top outer stitch line would need to be stitched 1st before assembling the wallet.

What's your guys & gals thoughts on this.

Thanks. Any & all help will be appreciated.

You can round the corners if you wish.  Modify it any way you like and make it your own.  Change the dimensions, rearrange pockets, sew th long line.  It's your template now, do what you want.

I think those top corners might look better radiused.

Thanks TonyV I appreciate it & I agree the wallet would look better with the top corners radiused.

It's the issue on a lot of wallets where the issue of continuing the stitch becomes a problem. The thicker/bigger thread needs thicker leather to hide the knot when sewing then comes the jump from thicker to thinner will change the stitch length. Hand stitching is the fix but who wants to hand stitch when you got a sewing machine. When I do bill-folds  I cut the dollar inside piece with the cc pockets less wide so I can do one continuous stitch all the way around.

Thanks @Burkhardt I appreciate your input & knowledge. I'll have to figure out if I can work that into this pattern.
