Members PasoLargo Posted December 21, 2023 Members Report Posted December 21, 2023 (edited) The manual diagram/explanation is useless. Can’t find YouTube video. Can anyone help me? Edited December 21, 2023 by PasoLargo Sp Quote
Members PasoLargo Posted December 21, 2023 Author Members Report Posted December 21, 2023 I am having trouble getting my Ferdco 440r Pro threaded. The manual diagram is useless. I think the incorrect threading is causing the machine to skip stitches. I changed to a new needle, adjusted tension upper and lower. Quote

If I'm not mistaken the Ferdco 440 R is a GA5-1 or GA5-1R if it has reverse should be the same for threading. Here is a youtube video on threading. kgg Quote

Here's a Singer manual. You need to go around the tension on the side 1 & 1/2 times so the thread can grip the tension pulley. 45Kmanual.pdf Quote

Members PasoLargo Posted December 22, 2023 Author Members Report Posted December 22, 2023 (edited) Thanks! The GA5-1R looks exactly my Ferdco 440r. The only difference I see is that the 440r directions and Cowboy Bob say to go around the tension wheel 1-1/2 times. I don’ t see that in the video? I’ll go back and try both ways. kgg, thanks for the video Cowboy Bob, thanks for the manual Both helpful. Edited December 22, 2023 by PasoLargo Quote
