Knife and sheath just finished

Recommended Posts

I forged a blade and added an antler handle then carved a face in the antler.  Decided to carve a similar face on the sheath.   Thought u folks might like a look

Looks great. The face on the sheath matches the one on the handle beautifully. Very nice work.

I'm always amazed at how supportive this community is and helpful.  Thank you!  I think lile most makers I'm critical of my work and only see the problems or mistakes.   So it's quite humbling to read comments other makers say about what I do.  Most days I feel like I'm far away from quality work.

Best

Ross

You must either have incredible patients and some AMAZING lives to carve that deer antler... That stuff is nearly as hard as rock!!!

But the entire build turned out beautiful!!!!

Excellent.  As my wife says, we look at our work from 6 inches with a very critical eye. No one else does. I'm sure that you, as well as the rest of learn from every project.

Thanks for the kind words.  On the carving I did it with a flex shaft rotary tool and dental burrs.  No way I could otherwise lol!

Impressive build, from tip to toe.  A showcasing of many different skills in there, that most of us only hope to master one of!  A tip of the hat to your, sir!
