Leather necktie

this is a work in progress,  I am stopped at the moment awaiting a neck measurement

and a Adams apple to belt length

I I got the idea, then modified, from YouTube 

enough is shown for you to pick it up and make your own

 

On the knot,  pinch and sew the backside

 

 

And yes you can use veg tan and tool it

That's an interesting idea. I have a few ties but never considered a leather one. A finished pic would be welcome when you get your dimensions, if possible.

I had a skinny leather tie in the 80s and loved it!  It's probably still around here somewhere.

lol.  I used a rifle sling as my pattern

3 1/2” at the widest 

1 1/4”. At the top

1” neck strap

I used chrome tan 2 oz piggy

On the next one.   The piece that folds is 11/4” wide.  It needs to be a little wider

i am not happy with the sharpness of the knot.  The rivet is to tight

Maybe just put a stitch or two in it toward the back instead of a rivet.
