AlZilla Report post Posted March 14 (edited) I can't quite understand what's being demoed here but I think it's a new servo that will do 50 RPM without a reducer. I don't think it's specific to the machine even though they're flipping a switch near the needle. I think it's just added there. It's a Hightex/Cowboy product so maybe @CowboyBob can fill us in? I wonder how the low speed torque would be? Edited March 14 by AlZilla
DieselTech Report post Posted March 14 I'm wondering if that is the cowboy 797 sewing machine. It looks like a nice machine if I'm correct. Lol I'm maybe totally wrong too.
AlZilla Report post Posted March 15 Waitaminnit ... Here are the specs on the motor: https://cowboysew.com/750SL-low-speed-high-torque-servo-motor.htm
Northmount Report post Posted March 15 Found a little info here. http://kinedyne-motor.com/products/HM-750S/236.html And a video actually sewing leather. Nice to see a real demo sewing a stack of leather. Notice the large flywheel on the sewing machine, lots of speed reduction there. Making me jealous, I want one, but for the amount I do these days, it's out of my range.

Yeah I havent found a place you can actually order/buy it from in the U.S. Lol or maybe I did not look hard enough.
dikman Report post Posted March 15 Audio on that video is shocking!!!! They must have some pretty impressive circuitry in the controller to do that and I'm guessing it's got a hefty price tag.
Garyak Report post Posted March 15 I believe that’s the same machine I just set up for Tandys a couple weeks back. Didn’t pay attention to servo. Imma see what it’s working with when I’m in the store again.
Constabulary Report post Posted March 15 (edited) Interesting motor! But seems they are kicking around promotion for this motor for maybe 2 years but yet no source to buy them or what? For a reason? Edited March 15 by Constabulary

From the video description: 1,081 views Oct 13, 2023 Best servo motor for heavy duty industrial sewing machines Kinedyne HM-750SL is the world's most powerful "low-speed, high-torque" servo motor that is able to maintain full power and torque even at low speed. Using photoelectric encoder, the minimum speed is down to 50 RPM. The actual sewing machine speed is 13 stitches per minute only which is great for more precise sewing of detailed work and heavier leather To sew very slowly is also ideal for leather working beginner. Using either an 750SL servo motor on heavy thick sewing applications completely eliminates the need for a now obsolete, "Speed Reducer". https://automatic-sewing.com/750SL-lo... AlZilla Report post Posted March 16 It popped up for me as a new video from Hightex. I agree it probably has a hefty pricetag. The couple of places that claim to offer it only have a "Get Quote" button.
James1 Report post Posted March 19 I just ordered one today from Ryan Neel. $320 delivered to my door (includes syncronizer)

Good to know the price. Thanks.

James1 Report post Posted March 19 I will report when I get it installed . I am putting it on a Juki TSC-441.

WGear Report post Posted March 26 I've had a couple HM-750T's for a little over a year and installed a HM-750L on someone's machine. So far, they've been working pretty well. No complaints. It would be nice to see a few more videos of the HM-750S on some other machines.
Cumberland Highpower Report post Posted March 26 I looked at those a few times over the past 2 years... Decided in end to buy an ISM SV71 as a test bed for a Seiko I have. I think I'd prefer that route?

James1 Report post Posted April 14 Sorry, yes I installed it and have made several bags with it and am very pleased with its performance, however I have only used it on 2 layers of 5/6 oz leather so far. I will try to sew max thickness for my machine and see how it does. It was very easy to install and set up using existing motor mount holes, and my belt from the clutch motor fit the new motor. I am fairly new at sewing, so I can’t give a professional review, but I can say that it is night and day difference from the clutch motor, I have so much control now going stitch by stitch. I wasn’t sure how I would like the Needle position sensor, but I am very pleased with it and use it almost the time. My machine has a speed reducer from the clutch motor, but I didn’t end up using it because I can go so slow without it.

CdK Report post Posted June 3 (edited) 1 hour ago, James1 said: Just curious if anyone else has purchased one of these yet? If so, what are your thoughts? @James1Which model did you purchase? I am interested in having slow speed and NPS on my 441 but NPS does not play nice with the speed reducer installed so this may be the way to get there. James1 Report post Posted June 3 I purchased the HM-750SL.
James1 Report post Posted June 3 So far, I am very happy with it, like I said, I have a speed reducer, but I’m not using it because of the controllability of this motor. I have sewed two layers of 16 ounce skirting leather with no problems at all at the slowest setting of
CdK Report post Posted June 3 8 minutes ago, James1 said: I purchased the HM-750SL. @James1Why I asked is that the 750SL & 750SH list the same specs on the website, maybe poor proofreading or maybe some other differences I missed? Other pages mention that the SL is intended for light-medium machines, not listing the 441class and SH for heavy duty machines listing the 441class. I will reach out to them to try and clarify on this. The page I found this on is this one: https://cowboysew.com/heavy-duty-sewing-servo-motor.htm
