Plans for a simple Stitching Pony

    I did a “search”, of various wording about Stitching Pony.
    The biggest results was 33,800! After a month of going through them all, insert going crazy emoji here.  
   I turn to you good people. 
 

I am looking for simple plans to build a stitching pony. That’s it.

I did a Google search "site:leatherworker.net stitching pony" and found quite a few designs.

Finally completed my new stitching pony. 
thanks for the inspiration. 
For comparison, the small one is from Amazon, it no work so good.

I assume you clamp it to a bench???  I made mine so you can "attach" it to a chair and sit on it to stabilize it.  It is adjustable for different height chairs.

Here is what I did . . . simple . . . quick . . . no real big engineering involved.

I sit down . . . each side piece goes under my leg . . . the middle piece comes straight up . . . stick in the piece . . . tighten the wing nut . . . stitch to your little hearts content.

I made one similar to this and I broke it but I do remember the thread used to catch on the wing nut. Looking at yours Dwight it occurred to me that it wouldn't be much trouble to solder a washer across those two wings and invert it.
