I have been busting my butt the last few weeks on an old friend

I have a 1996 Chevy S-10 with less than 100k miles 

Truck has been out back in the weeds for 20 years

this is the day I pulled it out of the weeds and washed it

 time to bring it back to life

needs a transmission

and because it was sitting up the gas tank rusted out

replaced tank, sending unit (pump) and fuel injectors

Replaced idler arm , sway bars, vacuum lines, plugs, wires, t- stat, flushed and changed everything

replaced tranny

 Truck should be complete and ready for the road next week

who is letting me use his shop and tools while he looks over my shoulder offering advice and a quick kick in the butt when needed. ,  which is often

I have body work to do. I'll post pics lol. the wife got to close to my truck and it bit her van.

down and dirty take into account this is a 2003 with 165000 miles daily driver to the store and back. It wasn't pretty to begin with. car kerosene can patch, lil bondo, lil paint  and some of that new vinyl auto wrap

Chuck, I just saw a cool idea for an addition to your truck!  :lol:

BTW, idjit who originally posted it obviously doesn't know side rails and running boards are two different things...:rolleyes2:

@Frodo Darn that is some impressive work! 

Great to get a truck back on the road again. I still firmly believe it is better for the environment if people fixed their old cars instead of buying new electric cars and throwing the old ones away.
