Members Mikeny Posted August 3, 2024 Members Report Posted August 3, 2024 Hi everyone, I was just offered the base Tippmann Boss for $500. The person is a friend of my cousin and when I went to look at it was still sealed in the shipping box with the mailing label. I was the first person to open it up, set up and test. It works perfectly. She wanted $800 and went down to $500. I’m not sure if it’s a good price or not. From Tippmann it $1,000 plus shipping and tax it comes about $1100. Is $500 a good price, whats the typical selling price when they’re used. Any advice or info is appreciated. Thank You Mike Quote
Members Dwight Posted August 3, 2024 Members Report Posted August 3, 2024 I have one that is 20 years old . . . have no idea how many things I made on it . . . paid the 1K for it when I got it. I would consider it a stingy insult from you if you offered me 500 for it. I would probably take 800 . . . but there would be extenuating circumstances for otherwise. May God bless, Dwight Quote
Members JDFred Posted August 3, 2024 Members Report Posted August 3, 2024 The only way I see that being a bad deal is if you didn’t have the $500. Quote

If the machine is what you want / need then getting an unopened boxed machine for that price is an excellent price. I would buy it anyway as if it doesn't meet your needs then you could always sell for that price or more. kgg Quote
Members Mikeny Posted August 9, 2024 Author Members Report Posted August 9, 2024 Thank you everyone. I bought it and am very happy its already saved me so much time punching and sewing. Dwight i did not mean to insult anyone. I did not negotiate or make an offer, the seller negotiated against herself, she said she wanted $800 but would take $500. I gave her the $500 as she wanted.
