AaronStand Report post Posted January 9 So I just received my new to me Seiko JW-28BL-30 from the east coast and super happy with the machine. When they were unloading it one of the guys handed me this piece, but didn't know where from the machine it came. I emailed the seller and they said it is used to hold the machine head in place while tilted up and that the piece was in place during transit and must have snapped at some point. I've pulled the prints for the machine and I can't find a part number anywhere nor have I been able to find it through generic Google searches. Can someone confirm that yes this is stored under the machine head? All the seller said is that it goes in a hole on "the right side of the table" but I can't find a spot and he stopped responding so I'm just assuming it's under the machine head. Anyone know the correct name for this piece or even know a part # or where one can be purchased? This is all I've been able to find and even this goes to a different machine model, does anyone know if the piece from this kit is the same for the JW-28? https://www.ebay.com/itm/123834702280?_skw=seiko+repair+kit&itmmeta=01JH3H3SSJ1H6XQRA78M6VN8NX&hash=item1cd51f99c8:g:xigAAOSwMrxfclO~&itmprp=enc%3AAQAJAAAA8HoV3kP08IDx%2BKZ9MfhVJKn0xbftrXj9Thn8%2FPaxLpEuqSo15IzfrxpfrnAERSNb0kH%2Fa80mC4SHSsn%2BH2E7OAogIOZxEsYOEFFD2na749%2BdJ4MMFAmbF4Cd%2FhIwC%2FgZiaQEtKGVp6qeadDsfQH2Q1QpgOcIFqrKfq6AiT91knaohzmobXh7uOgWlTMAKfdE008wD2vBeTA0vIL6BX9dQq%2FyLDo5vLZRuT18qx5%2FAMrJnWS7Q8nO5pjh1tM9SkKmq5ZyH6zTwHN3%2Fyho8kDHMTMteDvzK2Hqa%2BNwsWnQTDsmt6Fjgo5%2FJ1RVBXm6dEBq2g%3D%3D|tkp%3ABk9SR_6cj_GIZQ
TomG Report post Posted January 9 There should be a hole in the table behind the machine. The peg fits in there. You tilt the machine up and back and it rests on that post.
Cumberland Highpower Report post Posted January 9 That's what it looks like. A wooden prop for the machine head. Some tables have these as a permanent fixture, some just a hole you stick that wood thing into. Just something for the head to lay against when you tip it back. Looks like that's what you have anyway. Maybe your table isn't outfitted for one?
dikman Report post Posted January 9 Yup, show us a photo of the desk behind the machine head.

AaronStand Report post Posted January 10 Found it, it does have the hole I just overlooked it thinking it was for the thread stand. I went ahead and ordered a generic wood one, I didn't know if these were specific to the brand/model but in the end its just a damn head prop lol. Thanks all
