Members Conciouscuero Posted Tuesday at 12:26 AM Members Report Posted Tuesday at 12:26 AM Hello all-hopefully the title above explains the jist of it, I am looking for help in finding the best hand-held alphabet stamping tool and set for customizing goods at craft shows. Ideally it would be a self-enclosed system where you load the letters in and simply pound once (vs the classic sets where you are placing and pounding each individual letter) Any help and/or recommendations would be stellar! Members JDFred Posted Tuesday at 12:56 AM Members Report Posted Tuesday at 12:56 AM You could build a handle pretty easy for what you are wanting. I hate typing so I drew a picture forgive my poor drawing skills. Then you could use this jig that Tandy sells to keep everything straight. Quote
Members SUP Posted Tuesday at 01:00 AM Members Report Posted Tuesday at 01:00 AM There are brass stamping sets on Amazon. Amazon.com: WUTA Brass Stamping Tools Flexible Letters Numbers Alphabets Symbols Characters Molds Leather Jewelry Metal Stamping Tools for Hot Foil Stamping Machine (Copper Mold Set 83pcs) Can be used on cased leather. Expensive though! Quote Learning is a life-long journey.

Then you could use this jig that Tandy sells to keep everything straight. I made a couple of the jigs from off-cuts of acrylic, some small bolts & nuts and a few wing-nuts. I made two just cos I had enuff material. Together they cost under £8, or under £4 each ($5?) Once I have the letters in this I use a narrow steel plate of 3mm thickness laid across them then use the biggest 3D handle on top to guide my thumps Edited Tuesday at 02:15 AM by fredk Quote Al speling misteaks aer all mi own werk..
