Welcome! Lots of seniors here.

Very nice! I have a LCP with a CT laser on it. My holster is very similar.

Hellcat with a holo and a little side trip!
Hags replied to Hags's topic in Gun Holsters, Rifle Slings and Knife Sheathes
Thanks guys. We've been lucky so far. 3 trips, 3 hook ups, 2 in the boat. Lost the first one to a broken hook at the boat.. -
I recently made this pancake for a hellcat with a holo sight. Fiebings USMC black with a Fiebings light brown reinforcing piece in a flag motif. Hermann Oaks 8/9 277 bonded nylon top and bottom Cobra class 3. Then I took a little side trip to the Straight of Juan de Fuca for a little halibut. Right around 50 pounds for this one.

Who to purchase CB 4500 / Cobra Class 4 / Techsew 5100 from?
Hags replied to BliksemDonder's topic in Leather Sewing Machines
I seem to remember about $400. Had to have a drop gate truck. -
I do a lot of holsters and sheaths. 207 and 277 bonded nylon. Usually 277 top and bottom. I've had my class 3 for just about 4 years. Starting to feel comfortable.

I paid for home delivery, not cheap. Call Makersleathersupply.com. they're in Elm Mott Texas. Maybe pick up there? -
Yeah, kinda hard to see.

Fudging stitch length @ a border/corner: Cobra class 4
Hags replied to DieselTech's topic in Leather Sewing Machines
I watched a video by Ben Geisler about making belts. He removes the thread, starts at the tip, and "sews" (punching holes) down to the base. Then, assuming you haven't changed anything, put in the thread, and sew back up and around. You should fall the same holes and be dead on at the tip. -
Good to have you!

Leatherstampmaker.com did mine. They also sell irons to heat them for branding on wood and other things.

I was going through my drawers the other day and realized I had 8 Schrade Old Timers. One very large one I've had since the 80's and several others I've collected. I decided to give 2 of the trappers to my sons. I had to make a smaller pouch with a belt clip. I also wanted a pouch for my old Gerber. I used the holster plate on the class 3 and it came out pretty well. The smaller one is the same as what I did for the boys. It will fit many smaller knives.

I used my holster plate yesterday and found I needed to "tune up" the back a little to get the needle to line up in the center (cobra brand). I'm not sure a lower feed dog would help, but don't see how it could hurt either. Nice looking feet. Might have to look at that super 25 for smaller stuff. I've had my class 3 since April of 2020 and am just now getting comfortable. Slow learner I guess.

Another vote for Goliger. I've been using them for a while now. You can't order online but the folks are nice. They do not buy tannery runs then grade them themselves. A lot of other suppliers do that and this is why you can get such a difference in quality. I'm also on the left coast so shipping isn't such a deal for me. Don't know what it will be to the other side....

Very cool indeed.

I have a class 3, wish I'd bought a 4, but happy none the less. The motor died a few months in, new one free of charge in a few days, running fine for approx 4 years now.

Superior thread is running a sale now.
