Lots written on here about "what oil to use" but the simplest way is to get some Lillywhite sewing machine oil.

Indeed we will.  We could not believe how much force it needed to get back into place.  
She is purring like a kitten. . Ron and I are happy it’s fixed.  It was a stressful week. Thank you again everyone for the great suggestions.
