Members Damas Posted 8 hours ago Members Report Posted 8 hours ago Hello, I bought a second hand HighTex CB243 which I believe is a Juki TNU-243 clone. The machine stiches great, timing seems OK but I keep braking needles again and again... At a point where I am reluctant to use the machine It looks like either feed dog, either needle bar is off and I believe this to be the origin of my braking needle issue... I looked into TNU-243 service manual because machine did not come with any manual and it does not show how to move from left to right the feed dog or the needle bar. Members Damas Posted 7 hours ago Author Members Report Posted 7 hours ago (edited) Hello CowboyBob, thank you very much for this documentation. The needle to shuttle clearance seems fine, I believe the needle to hit the feed dog, as I can clearly see impact marks on the feed dog and also if you check on picture you can see that needle is too much on the left when going through feed dog hole Also, mine being a flat bed version, so I believe adjustments will involve parts that might differ Edited 7 hours ago by Damas Quote Mitsubishi DU-105-22 - Singer 17-30, 45K25, 132K10 - Adler 30-1- Pearson #6 - Hightex CB3200 and CB243

Away from or closer to everything on either side. Members Damas Posted 1 hour ago Author Members Report Posted 1 hour ago Yes, that's the point. I need either to move needle bar or feed dog, depending on what is ajustable on this machine to have everything in line I just don't know how to do that. This is why I came here and asked Quote Mitsubishi DU-105-22 - Singer 17-30, 45K25, 132K10 - Adler 30-1- Pearson #6 - Hightex CB3200 and CB243
Members nejcek74 Posted 1 hour ago Members Report Posted 1 hour ago On my machine (Pfaff) you set the needle into the centre of needle hole in the feed dog by moving the needle bar frame. This is the upper assembly that includes needle bar and upper feed mechanism. By my machines is always annoying to get some movements. How is this solved by Juki I rerally don't know. check on which axe the needle bar is hanging, is there and screw that you can loose, and than by rocking the wheel you push the whole assembly slightly to the left.
