In order to ease overview of the machine, I did an album :

Please create a new album in the Leatherworker Gallery and post these pics and videos there.  https://leatherworker.net/forum/gallery/#

Stuff posted and hosted by 3rd party host gets lost when the host changes policies or the owner moves or deletes his/her posts on the 3rd party site.  This thread may be very important to someone down the road.  They would need to see your pics and videos.  This is the best place to put them.

What are the remaining questions on this topic? Have you made progress? Are you still waiting on a part before proceeding?

Hi, well I guess I will have to make discussed adjustments first, and then post feedback here once done...

So far my issue is a reluctant screw that I am still trying to free in order to proceed

I also post extra pics as requested by @Constabulary and @AlZilla

My question is satisfied. I can definitely see the feed dog is riding all the way possible to the right. The illustrations seem to show a way to slip it in the other direction, or something may be bent. And a couple pics show the presser/feed dog/needle plate orientation. You definitely need to see if you can get the feed dog centered.  You may still need to move the needle as CowboyBob mentions.

A couple drops of diesel fuel, left to sit a couple hours. That's what I use.

And make sure you have a screwdriver that is a good fit for the screw. I've been using this "sewing machine" set made by Chapman. It comes with several different sized hollow-ground (paralled-sided) bits and a mini ratchet to give extra torque.

Here's the amazon link where I purchased for $55.

@AlZilla working on it 😅

@friquant I have the chapman set, it cost me much more here in Europe but it's so far one of my best buy, no regrets !

The screw is hexa type and above in size of the ones included in the set.

I put some wd40 yesterday, I'll try again today...

Do you have anything stronger?

Are you saying it's a hex type, like allen wrench?

Is there a lock screw holding it in place, by any chance? Can you send a photo?
