What is this called and how to install them?

I keep seeing some pretty cool “bejazzled” head stalls with these little accents as circled in my pic. Anyone know what they are called and how they are added to the cheek pieces?

They could be domed head ready-rivets, like these

or pressed steel dome ornaments. like these

or these, screw-back domes
