Moderator Johanna Posted January 30, 2009 Moderator Report Posted January 30, 2009 I just received a nice note from the president of OTB who wanted to let us know that OTB does NOT require a wholesale tax number for an order, but that they do have a $30 minimum order policy. OTB carries an enormous selection of hardware, and if you do a good bit of custom work, you will find yourself reaching for their catalog often. They carry a few items you probably can't get anywhere else. http://ohiotravelbag.com Johanna Quote

Ambassador abn Posted January 30, 2009 Ambassador Report Posted January 30, 2009 So we can order from them, but we can't request a catalog? Maybe I'm confused: http://ohiotravelbag.com/catalog_request.htm Quote

Moderator Johanna Posted January 30, 2009 Author Moderator Report Posted January 30, 2009 It has been a long time since I have asked for a catalog, but I remember having to pay a nominal fee that was refunded with my first order. Quote
MADMAX22 Posted January 30, 2009 Report Posted January 30, 2009 Also if you see something that is from there parent company (weaver/hidehouse or whoever it is) you can call them and they will try to make it available at OTB. It may just take a little bit of time. Quote
Ambassador Luke Hatley Posted January 30, 2009 Ambassador Report Posted January 30, 2009 yes you do have to pay for the catalog. $10.00 best i remember. Quote
esantoro Posted January 30, 2009 Report Posted January 30, 2009 The full catalog is online but is not as easy to page through as is a printed catalog, which also comes with a price sheet. ed Quote
Hilly Posted January 30, 2009 Report Posted January 30, 2009 OTB also has a "sister" site called "Hardware Elf", which offers a somewhat smaller selection of items at retail prices, but no minimum purchase. Also, if you see something on the OTB site that isn't available on the Hardware Elf site, contact OTB and they will try and make the item(s) available on Hardware Elf. Here's a link: http://www.hardware-elf.com/ Just FYI... Quote

Members MBOGO Posted February 1, 2009 Members Report Posted February 1, 2009 Great info. I tried contacting them a few months ago via e-mail, and the response made no sense. Quote

You can hit $30 easily only a few pages in.The full catalog is online but is not as easy to page through as is a printed catalog, which also comes with a price sheet. edI don't remember exactly but I think you can also download their whole catalog. I am sure I have it downloaded somewhere. Then it's a little easier to get through. Quote

That´s true you can download their catalog from here. They divided it into parts, because in one file it would have been too big. BTW Ohiotravelbag is a real good company. If you´re searching for hardware take a look on their page, in most cases they will have what you are searching for. Cheers, Marcel Quote
Members Wyvern Posted February 2, 2009 Members Report Posted February 2, 2009 I called them about a year ago. They took my information, (I don't have a tax id). They sent me a catalogue free if I remember correctly. I do a lot of business with them. Very nice folks. Just remember the $30 minimum. Quote
