I printed it out and it would not fit on a normal page. Thanks! See if either of these help ClayB Badlands Leather Art blog Badlands Leather Art Website

Contributing Member ClayB Posted March 7, 2008 Author Contributing Member Report Posted March 7, 2008 I thought this one looked fun, I tried to keep all the basic elements in place and just come up with a little different version. Jim, That is some really nice carving! The changes you made to the pattern are also really nice. Not sure what else you can say about that. Moderator bruce johnson Posted March 7, 2008 Moderator Report Posted March 7, 2008 Looks like a guy is going to have to work a little bit here. Jim, I really like your fillers in the stem work where it splits off. That's some good. I am needing to do a 4 floral corner clock in the next couple weeks, and this pattern looks like it is gonna kinda sorta work. Thanks Clay and Clay. Contributing Member ClayB Posted March 7, 2008 Author Contributing Member Report Posted March 7, 2008 I decided to try putting both the floral and figure challenge patterns together and see how they would fit. I thought they looked ok, so I am going to try them on a small photo album (actual carving area, a little less than 5X7) I tried to scan my carving but it didn't turn out very well. I'll try and take a picture of it later and post it. But anyway, here is a pattern of them both together. Ok, here's my attempt at carving this. I am not really happy with it, I HATE carving really small stuff and for me, this (at least the floral part) qualifies as small. I still have some cleaning up to do, and everyone here says I have to color it but I am not looking forward to that. ClayB Badlands Leather Art blog Badlands Leather Art Website
Members Oscar B Posted March 8, 2008 Members Report Posted March 8, 2008 Nice work Clay. Life is too short to wake up with regrets. So love the people who treat you right. Forget about the ones who don't. Believe everything happens for a reason. If you get a chance, take it. If it changes your life, let it. Nobody said life would be easy, they just promised it would most likely be worth it."
TracyMoss Posted March 8, 2008 Report Posted March 8, 2008 Jim, very nice work. Scouter, don't give up so easily.
Members Tina Posted March 9, 2008 Members Report Posted March 9, 2008 Really nice idea Clay...As always your carving is super. So when do we see it in color? Froghunter Posted March 10, 2008 Report Posted March 10, 2008 (edited) Well, seeing as how my floral carving leaves (pun intended) much to be desired, I decided I should attempt as many of these as possible. Sorry no Zebra yet for the other contest, that one intimidates me just a bit. Anyways, heres my floral. As always I changed it up just a bit because I thought it needed it. (story of my life... always messin' up a good thing! Critic away! Oh, and I even added some color!
