Members TrooperChuck Posted March 2, 2009 Members Report Posted March 2, 2009 Bree, it looks like you executed a "search and acquire" combat mission at the Grizzly store! I love going to those kind of places. Good looking truck, too. Quote "Courage is being scared to death, but saddling up anyway." (John Wayne)
Members Jdavies Posted March 3, 2009 Members Report Posted March 3, 2009 This was my dream truck. Which was sold recently, but hope someday to get another like it. 03 3/4 ton diesel. Quote Justin Davies Custom Saddles Three Forks, MT www.fourdsaddlery.com
Members Shorts Posted March 3, 2009 Members Report Posted March 3, 2009 (edited) Got my new ride a few weeks ago. Most I've done to it so far is nerf bars (gotta get in!) but it will be getting the treatment as time and funds allow. It will be sporting leather and will advertise when the time is right. Until then, upgrades will be my own until marketed. I love this truck! Edited March 3, 2009 by Shorts Quote
Dags3777 Posted March 3, 2009 Report Posted March 3, 2009 The orange ute was my pride and joy as a daily, until one car was more economical. The orange is a HJ Holden (GM) ute and the blue is a 2004 Holden (GM) Commodore wagon. As you can tell I am a Holden fanatic, no Fords in my house. Rather walk than drive a Ford. Darryl Quote When I was a kid I used to pray every night for a new bicycle. Then I realised God doesn't work that way, so I stole one and prayed for forgiveness.
Contributing Member UKRay Posted March 3, 2009 Author Contributing Member Report Posted March 3, 2009 Thanks for your indulgence guys but don't stop now. The temptation to spend all day looking at truck websites is still overpowering... Dually and DJ1935, in an ideal world those trucks of yours would be the ones for me. Classic lines and stacks of functionality... But I confess, the days when I was prepared to deal with a vehicle that could be temperamental are long gone. I need one to start first time every time and over here that precludes anything older than about five years. Don't you wish they would bring back those lovely classic designs with a decent engine and running gear - and brakes! Members bebah Posted March 4, 2009 Members Report Posted March 4, 2009 Hey Ray. Here are a few snaps of my '05 Ford 350 duely. I use it to pull my horse trailer and pick up grain, hay, bedding, fence posts, etc. I also have it outfitted with a 9' Western snow plow. Don't know how I would get along without it. Some people over here call these "Cowboy Cadillacs" Quote
ArtS Posted March 4, 2009 Report Posted March 4, 2009 Here's my F250 ready to take the horses camping with me (they have to stay in the trailer that I pull LOL). That's mud on it, not rust. Members oldtimer Posted March 4, 2009 Members Report Posted March 4, 2009 (edited) Ray. This is my warhorse, an immortal old Nissan King Cab, 4WD, V6 engine, 1990, (Found out that the "japanese" V6 powered Nissan trucks are built in the US of A!) The engine is not original, it was retired at 320 000 kilometers and replaced with a newer, used engine from a crashed truck. The truck has run more than 12 turns around the world ! 490 000 kilometers (304 471 884 miles) by now and it is not showing any sign of age fatigue or rust so far. It is like having an old dog, you can´t just sell it, it is a member of the family!
