I am looking and seeing things I'll try differently next time. This was a fun project and one that I never thought I would be attempting.

WOW!

That is nice work. I do not think my sticthing will ever look that clean.

I am more of a revolver man myself, but I did look at these and really like the laser sight coming with it.

Crystal, To change the subject a bit, I'll tell you that I bought a GSG 1911 chambered in 22LR a while back. It shoots great, has a good trigger, good ajustable sights, and more. It costed $300, and is a great practice gun to help you improve with your Kimber. Ammunition is a fraction of the cost, and the pistol looks, feels, and functions just like yours. I'll bet you'd like one as well.
