Timbo Posted March 25, 2009 Report Posted March 25, 2009 Here is a saddle bag purse I made for a lady. The finish is EVOO with a little mahogoney oil dye in it. The gussett is the backside of some moose I've had for awhile. It's really thick stuff. Timbo Quote
Members Dually Posted March 25, 2009 Members Report Posted March 25, 2009 Awsome purse Timbo, I really like the texture you gave to the flap. Real clean design. Quote
MarkB Posted March 25, 2009 Report Posted March 25, 2009 Timbo Nice job been thinking of making some to sell myself just haven't got it done. How wide did you make the gusset on them? Mark Quote
Members TinyL Posted March 25, 2009 Members Report Posted March 25, 2009 Hi Timbo - the bag looks great. I really like how you put space in between your stippled spots in the background. I always assumed they had to be touching but the effect is neat. I like the look. Quote
Members SteveBrambley Posted March 25, 2009 Members Report Posted March 25, 2009 Very nicely done! Quote

Mark The gusset is 4" wide and it is that width all the way around. I have tapered the gussets towards the top before and it is just easier to use with it the same width all around. Tim Quote

I always assumed they had to be touching but the effect is neat. I like the look. They touch more often than you think. It is a pear shader that makes the impressions and you lean it at all different angles when stamping. It just makes most of the little ridges on its own. It's hard to do and not get into a pattern. You just have to keep it random. Tim ........and thanks to all for the compliments, they are much appreciated. Quote
AndyL1 Posted March 26, 2009 Report Posted March 26, 2009 That is very cool. I love that hammered texture. So easy to do and adds a ton of character. Thanks for sharing! Quote
