Roger Report post Posted March 6, 2008 this is the third winged seat and kind of a strange one. hadn't saddle stitched one in a while and figured this would be a good one for it
ETW Grumpy Report post Posted March 6, 2008 Pretty deep stuff bro. Really nice. I love the way the feathers look. The fade out is great.
TomSwede Report post Posted March 6, 2008 Nice one, love stuff that catches you and makes you think at a little deeper perspective. Nice burst effects on the edges and cool figure. Sewing looks good aswell. Tom

Roger Report post Posted March 6, 2008 thanks guys! the concept and wording was all the customer. the artwork was interesting to come up with. i worked on it a few different ways but, liked this one the best. yes, it's my usaual fade. seems like it runs in cycles between solid color seats and fades. yes, it is airbrushed. the stitiching came out real good on this one but took me quite some time for some reason. mybe being sick??? seems like it took me a good 7 hours where something like this would only take me three to four

David Report post Posted March 10, 2008 Roger, What are you using to do the detail in the feathers? It looks really good. Dave Theobald http://www.theobaldleather.com
Roger Report post Posted March 10, 2008 Roger,What are you using to do the detail in the feathers? It looks really good. Dave Theobald http://www.theobaldleather.com it's a couple of tandy figure carving tools f120, f121. the larger feathers on the last couple projects i used a horizontal lined pear shader on an angle to extend the lines once i had done the middle of the feather
