Randahl Report post Posted April 2, 2009 This was made entirely with swivel knife cuts. No other tools were used in the making of the picture. There is also no color or finish on it. I originaly made this to enter in a contest that required only knife work. It did well in the contest and I told several members that I would post it here. I plan to bevel and background it soon. Doing a "fingercut" picture was a lot of fun and I will be doing some more of this type work. Questions? Comments? Thanks for looking. Randahl
Colman Report post Posted April 2, 2009 Randahl, Very nice work! The ladybugs make a nice addition. Question - Did you use just one blade or different blades to achieve the texturing? Johnny
CitizenKate Report post Posted April 2, 2009 I really like it for its uniqueness. I've never thought about using swivel knife cuts to create textures like those. Kate
bustedlifter Report post Posted April 2, 2009 That's really cool! I would leave it just the way it is. Maybe a bit of oil.
Randahl Report post Posted April 2, 2009 It was all done with one blade. The SK 3 swivel knife with a 3/8" straight blade. The only difference is the depth of the cuts.
