ryano Report post Posted April 15, 2009 Looks like it turned out better than my first one. Mine stretched like crazy and I had to scrap it! lol
Keltrey Report post Posted April 15, 2009 I let it case for 48 hours prior to stamping it, so I think that might have helped a little. It really took the stamping well. I just had a little bit of a problem with the seeder going a bit deep.
pete Report post Posted April 15, 2009 (edited) Very nice job! In the future you might want to make the pattern larger than the finished size. Mark hole at the 4 corners when you lay out the pattern. Tape the back to prevent stretch and when you're done, lay out a ruler and cut from hole to hole. That way you have a good chance of having it come out real square and "plumb" That makes everything easier to finish-take a divider to make your borders- then you have a really square BOX in which to do you basketweave, tooling etc pete Edited April 15, 2009 by pete
carr52 Report post Posted April 15, 2009 As a first attempt I'd say your on the right track. Basket weave is pretty tough. At least for me it is. I have a real hard time keeping it off the border. Keep on posting. Tom

But you can put masking tape on the back before you tool it, and that will keep it from stretching.... Kevin Hopkins
