Members clairmullin Posted May 5, 2009 Members Report Posted May 5, 2009 Hello Everybody, I have been pretty quite lately, so I thought I would share a project I did for Christmas this last year. This is a wall hanging I did for a customer that features their ranch name and their brand is on the cows hip. It was a lot of fun to do - carving is my favorite thing to do so this project was a dream come true for me. I wish I could do a lot more of this stuff. Any way, hope you all enjoy it and have a great day! Quote

BearMan Posted May 6, 2009 Report Posted May 6, 2009 Very nice !! I really like the color too,,, too bad some of it is hiding behind the edge of the frame,,, Ed Quote
rcsaddles Posted May 8, 2009 Report Posted May 8, 2009 Very nice, Clair. Being raise on a ranch, I was looking at the conformation on the cow and calf. Looks like she would work in most herds. It is very difficult for me to get the contour and shading right on somthing like that. It shows in your work that you really enjoy the carving. Quote

Members clairmullin Posted May 8, 2009 Author Members Report Posted May 8, 2009 Thank you all. The cow/ calf pair was difficult for me to do - this is my first one. But, I learned some stuff doing this one so hopefully I like the next one beter. Thanks again guys! Hope you all have a great day! Quote
