Here is a pair of shotguns that I built for Bobbie Gordon a few years ago. They were my third pair I had ever made and my 2nd try at carving. I only have one picture of them or would put more views of them. I have a picture of the belt before the oil and finish was applied. Just thought I would share with you. :whatdoyouthink:

Thanks Mark

Pretty fancy Mark.Did they step in or did you lace the zipper in?

Good looking pair of chaps, Mark!

Very nice looking chaps.

Not being a horse person, I'm curious as to why they're called "shotgun" chaps?

Steve

They have zippers laced in as the are made to fit snugly to the leg. The hardest thing to learn in making chaps and chinks is how to use measurements to make them fit well.

I think that I have finally got a plan and know what measurements I need and how to move the pattern around to make it work.

Thank you Mark

Rob

Keep trying you get there it only take time and practice.

Hilly

I think it was because the legs were laced together and when you put them on it was like looking down a double barrel shotgun. I have not done any research on it to give you the right answer but I think we will find out on the site thanks to people who have.

Thanks Mark

Thanks to every one else that has looked and posted.
