Contributing Member ClayB Posted January 17, 2009 Contributing Member Report Posted January 17, 2009 Thanks Kani and ATX. Johanne, as soon as I here anything about the next Dimensions in Leather, I'll be sure to make an announcement, and add it to the calendar. I am pretty sure there is supposed to be one this year, maybe in July? You could send an email to Cheryl McIntyre. She is usually the one that heads up the conference so I am sure she could let you know more details. Sorry, I wont be at this one, but I sure hope to make one sometime in the future. Members hiloboy Posted May 14, 2009 Members Report Posted May 14, 2009 (edited) The thing that is really great about this forum is that I can write up what I know (which isn't nearly as much as some of you think) and send it to Johanna and she can do her magic and here it is for everyone to see (along with a really nice into, Thanks Jo). I don't have to drive to CA or CO or Britain for anyone to see it, although I'd love to go to Austrailia someday, anyone wanna have a class over there????? Nobody has to write me a big check for the chance to throw rotten fruit at me! I am pretty sure Regis would behave, and MAYBE Bert would, but Kathy and Anne, I really doubt it. Even if you throw like girls, in a small room sooner or later you might get in a lucky shot. I'm really gonna try to do something in Rapid City this year at Clay's store there. I'll let you all know if we get something figured out but you'll have to check your guns and your rotten fruit at the door. But seriously, thanks all of you for your kind words and encouragement. It's what keeps me trying to do my part to make sure this is the best leatherworking resource on the internet. Clay, if your on your way to Austrailia maybe you can make a stop here in Hawaii and have a class. if not on the way over. maybe on the way back its a long flight.. and you can't go home with out some mac nuts and kona coffee and maybe we can use you to try to plug up our volcano at the same time Edited May 14, 2009 by hiloboy Quote Aloha, Curt http://www.picturetrail.com/linecutter
Members Hawk Scarbrough Posted October 26, 2015 Members Report Posted October 26, 2015 ClayB thanks for sharing, this is one type of carving Ive been wanting to see how its done for some time now but had never been able to go anywhere to see it done. Not much teaching here in Atlanta Georgia. Yea ClayB, I read your quote about not knowing as much as some of us think..sure, we are just imagining the breathtaking work you do. Quote
