Yeah, I don't see to much of block/inverted dyeing category so I thought it'd be good to show an alternate way to do this. Kate allready has great tut on subject so I thought of this as a complement..also I read somewhere that the dye/antiquing subforum needed more write ups about things. I tried that allready and the black didn't want to mix with the red wich created a strange reddish black so that is why I carefully brush the red after the blockdyeing. TomSwede Posted July 11, 2009 Author Report Posted July 11, 2009 Hi Azrider and thanks Azrider!! I used Fiebings aussie leather conditioner and leather balm on top of that. Be careful with the leather balm if you use it. I got some lift from the black wich partially got into the red tribal carvings and darkened the cuts. It's not very noticeable but I do like my work to look just as good in close up view as it does from a distance. This is a fun tecnique to work with. Tom Quote
