GirlFromScandinavia Report post Posted July 9, 2009 (edited) Hi! As i was rummiging around in an old warehouse, I came up on this interesting peice of j-nk??!! Or as I hope, I stumbled upon treasure!! Can anyone tell me if this is something to do with leather sewing, and if so, what I might get it to do for me?? There were manufactoring info on the side wich said: Vilh. Pedersen, Hong, Nodel no. 308 Danmark. If you can possibly tell me anything to get it to work, I´be gratefull.( the last 3 picks) I also use a Durkoff in sewing straps, and I took a picture of it. Since I´v just gotten it, I cant figure out the lubrication system. I´d also like to know, how large needels and string i can sew with it.(the first 2 picks) Thankfull for any replies!! Ruh Junker & Ruh The lever operated Junker und Ruh Model SD28 leather stitcher was made in Karlsruhe, Germany, probably in the '30s or '40s and was used in the shoe repair trade. Henry Report post Posted July 22, 2009 Katarina, The machine you have is Pedersen. It is a copy of the Junker & Ruh and was made by Pedersen until sometime in the 1960's or even later. The parts are the same as the Junker & Ruh which was discontinued during WWII sometime. I can sell you needles if interested and very shortly will also have bobbins and shuttles available for this machine. I am also the one who made the little youtube video: I did it so people could understand how the machine functions and see it in action because they are pretty rare over here in North America. I have been looking online for more information and can't seem to find anything more than it was possibly made in Karlsruh, Durlach Baden, Germany.
