Tandy Cell Phone Case...

In this month's sales flyer, Tandy had this little Cell Phone Case Kit for $9-. Well, I am always looking for a one night project to keep down the withdrawals... The kit was very nice! Good materials, hardware... I really enjoyed making this!

there are some others that i really like as well...i just don't see anyone that carrys the kit or a pattern for it.

I've seen that and always wondered how it would be to do it. Yours came out cool. Don't tell me...Sharpie? Looks good.

Spider! Only a little sharpie this time! I used all Fieblings (alcohol based) first I started with Yellow and then I added a little Mahogany and shaded and also went over cuts... Then a little more mahogany and hit some random scales... Added a little light-brown and finished sides... The Sharpie did the eyes Black and some acrylic white highlights. Finished off with Leather sheen...

I think that they are brilliant!! And very nice photography as well.

The idea of using a sharpie sounds good. Has anyone thought of having sharpies (or the equivalent of) loaded with Fieblings (alcohol based). Maybe someone could suggest it to Fieblings as a good way of applying dies accuratley to small areas in a more controlled manner than brushes, which can drip. Or am I behind the game and it has already been done.

I don't know exactly what solvent Sharpie uses, but it is permanent on leather. Add to that the myriad color and tip choices that Sharpie already offers. So, I think a Fiebing's pen might be reinventing the wheel. A nice idea IMO, would be to make one with the 'brush' tip, so one could vary the line thickness more easily.

OK, so you can get a many colors of sharpie. Here is Aus i've only ever seen red, black and blue. But that is a typical situation of the variety of supplies available in the USA compared to aus. I'll look out for some other colors of sharpie when i'm there in May.
