Ambassador freak Posted November 23, 2009 Ambassador Report Posted November 23, 2009 It's been about 50 something years since i've really done anything and posted it here. So here's a lil sometin , sometin. I've been wanting to do this for some time now. I made so many mistakes on this, it almost didn't happen folks. Here's me pics... Really wish i would of caught the fact that i only tooled one ear before i dyed it. ARRRGGGGHH !! The "SP" is how my daughter signs her initials. I didn't think i'd ever finish lacing. Then i made myself a case for my blackberry to match Quote
Contributing Member ClayB Posted November 23, 2009 Contributing Member Report Posted November 23, 2009 Hey Freak, It's great to see you back to carving. 50 years, no wonder I have been feeling so old lately!!! It doesn't look like you've lost anything in all that time. Your projects are just as fun to look at as they've always been. I really like the dog tracks in the background, and the bone letters. You always come up with such cool ideas. Hope you get to keep at it. Quote
Ambassador Luke Hatley Posted November 23, 2009 Ambassador Report Posted November 23, 2009 ..........after about 50 years you still have it... good looking design. dont this make you want to do more........... Quote
TomSwede Posted November 23, 2009 Report Posted November 23, 2009 Still looks very cool Brother Freak!!! I just love the yellow but can't tell for sure if it is acrylic but that's my guess and if so how did you apply it. If diluted it must have taken ages. Tom Quote
Ambassador freak Posted November 24, 2009 Author Ambassador Report Posted November 24, 2009 A thank you. Tom, the yellow on the cover and back is eco flo dye, it all is accept the white. ON the inner sleeve where her name is and that bulldog are acrylics. And yes that yellow took freakin forever to cover. I stopped counting layers at 8 and i used a brush. As much as i hate dying black with another color i sure love the way black/red and black/yellow look. Quote
hidepounder Posted November 24, 2009 Report Posted November 24, 2009 Great job as always, Freak, I like them both! Bobby Quote
