I use some scrap for practice/test pieces. These were tests for some patterns I came up with.

those look great to me. sell 'em as jacket patches instead of sayin' they're practice pieces.

I agree with Drac, sell 'em!

Or keep them as souvenirs.

They look good, I especially like they way you worked with pointed side of the backgrounder. I've never tried that but the effect is awsome with this one.

yeah these could be cool patches or if coated some cool coaster ideas. Very nice practice pieces.

Storm! I love seeing practice pieces! Like a work in progress or fun stuff! Both pieces look great! Can you tell us the size of the carvings? Hard to tell without reference... Thanks!

One suggestion for you, Storm. Number them and sign them. That way, when you've built a career from leather, you can go back and sell your first pieces for extra!!! Seriously, keep them around for a while, and look at them often. It's a great way to judge yourself and follow your progress. The artwork is very nice, and I suspect we'll be seeing more from you very soon. Keep up the good work.

Thanks much! Something like 4.5" x 6" I just hate throwing away leather. I usually end up practicing new techniques or patterns out o get a feel.

That second one is freakin awesome ! Love the design.
