Members Storm Posted April 9, 2008 Members Report Posted April 9, 2008 (edited) I use some scrap for practice/test pieces. These were tests for some patterns I came up with. Members Storm Posted April 9, 2008 Author Members Report Posted April 9, 2008 Don't know what happened but here is the second piece?!?!?! Maybe too much for just one topic. Quote Please keep in mind that unless I ask for anyones critique I do not want nor require same.
Drac Posted April 9, 2008 Report Posted April 9, 2008 those look great to me. sell 'em as jacket patches instead of sayin' they're practice pieces. Quote frissenfrassenmussafrussen...
TomSwede Posted April 9, 2008 Report Posted April 9, 2008 I agree with Drac, sell 'em! Or keep them as souvenirs. They look good, I especially like they way you worked with pointed side of the backgrounder. I've never tried that but the effect is awsome with this one. SCOUTER Posted April 11, 2008 Report Posted April 11, 2008 Storm! I love seeing practice pieces! Like a work in progress or fun stuff! Both pieces look great! Can you tell us the size of the carvings? Hard to tell without reference... Thanks! Quote
Contributing Member TwinOaks Posted April 11, 2008 Contributing Member Report Posted April 11, 2008 One suggestion for you, Storm. Number them and sign them. That way, when you've built a career from leather, you can go back and sell your first pieces for extra!!! Seriously, keep them around for a while, and look at them often. It's a great way to judge yourself and follow your progress. The artwork is very nice, and I suspect we'll be seeing more from you very soon. Keep up the good work.
