Contributing Member Regis Posted April 14, 2008 Contributing Member Report Posted April 14, 2008 Anyone using a small airbrush spray booth? I'd like to know about how much draw there is in a "real" spraybooth. I want to make a simple spray booth and happen to have a working kitchen exhaust fan unit. Is the draw similar to a kitchen exhaust fan? Thanks, Regis Quote
Ambassador Beaverslayer Posted April 14, 2008 Ambassador Report Posted April 14, 2008 Regis, I'm not using a booth, but I believe simple physics would dictate that if your air brush is putting out 1 cfm and your hood fan is doing the same, all will work good. Ken Quote
David Posted April 15, 2008 Report Posted April 15, 2008 Regis, BE CAREFUL about the fan you use....the fumes going through this fan could be flamable...you don't want an electrical spark in a spray booth fan....You need a totally sealed motor. David Theobald Quote

outcast Posted April 15, 2008 Report Posted April 15, 2008 You can get spark proof fans at most restaurant supply outfits. Quote
