iwannabeacowboy Report post Posted April 22, 2010 Another work of art. Very nice design and construction. One question, is there any benefit to the offset ring binder. Easier to assemble or fold easier, stronger? I like your finished product. Tooling outstanding and the Lace color adds to it. charlie
David Report post Posted April 22, 2010 Very nice work Tim. Although I don't envy you doing that back cover. Can you still see after doing that? Dave Theobald
TimKleffner Report post Posted April 22, 2010 Howdy Ya'll Harvey, I drew the pattern , so I guess I do own that thing, it goes into my library. David, the basket weave is not that small, I have smaller basket tools that make my eyes cross. Charlie, I've made these notebooks, and just go with the original notebook pattern. I do know that the bigger the notebook, the off set binding makes it easier to carry and open / close. Happy tooling Tim
TimDreamer Report post Posted April 22, 2010 (edited) Another outstanding piece, Tim! What tools did you use to create your border pattern on the inside and back cover? Edited April 22, 2010 by TimDreamer

TimKleffner Report post Posted April 23, 2010 Tim the inside border and the back border is the arrow basket. I used a real small basket tool and used a Barry King small shell center for the inside of the arrow. Glad you like it... If I can help, your close give me a call. phlegmaticdog Report post Posted May 2, 2010 Beautiful work, Tim. Do you buy the ring mechanism separately or tear apart a finished notebook to get it? --Dave
