Members snowman Posted July 20, 2010 Members Report Posted July 20, 2010 Help. I just can't seem to get it to consistantly sew. Bought it to sew patches in pockets. The upper thread keeps snagging and wrapping up in the bobbin. Will not pick up bobbin thread. Its always breaking down. It's like a Harley. You've got to be a mechanic to get it to work. Help please. Thanx, Snowman. Quote

CowboyBob Posted July 31, 2010 Report Posted July 31, 2010 There can be a number of different issues that can cause this problem & the easiest is threading & tension, you need to make sure it's threaded & has enough tensions, not enough & it'll wad up underneath since it doesn't have enough tension to pull it up.#2 problem can be a loose screw on the gear underneath the hook, check that & #3 can be worn out gears . So try the first 2 & let me know what happens. Bob Quote

Members Happy Hooligan Posted August 13, 2010 Members Report Posted August 13, 2010 I've always wanted a 29-4... It's such a beautiful machine, especially with the stand... If you are selling it I might be interested although shipping would kill me... Quote
