That's a good looking rig Steve. I bet some cowboy is sure proud of it. I got my first tree from Sonny, it is real nice.

Thanks for posting.

Nice and clean, good blending lines. Top notch and professional all the way!

Good Work, the owner will be proud of this rig.

Real nice Steve, as usual. I personally really like a rough out. Currently building a couple of them in the shop. JW

That saddle has a great look. I love ruff-out!

I have always found on my friends saddles that are ruff out, that they start off looking real nice , but soon don't. With dirt and oil from use soon mixing into a big dirty mess.

I would like to ask,

How would a person go about keeping a saddle as beautiful as the rough-out one pictured above, looking beautiful?

Is there a secret method, Or, am I missing the point?

Thanks

Joel

Joel,Keep it cleaned with saddle soap and a soft wire wheel to ruff the nap back up.Should look good again. The rough out take alot of abuse that doesn't show up like a smoothout would. All saddles need to be cleaned and reconditioned a couple of times a year if used hard.

Thanks for the reply Steve.

Is the wire wheel you're referring to one that goes on a dremel or drill?
