Spider Report post Posted April 29, 2008 I made this with moo outter, pig skin inner with a snake pocket. I wanted to spoil myself and so I did. Open to critique if you have stuff that will help my next one. I need to work on my lacing start and finish. lol

Beaverslayer Report post Posted April 30, 2008 I like it Spider, the skull rocks, and that background is way cool. As too the lacing, the way you laced that is the one lace I do not do, I could never get a start or finish that I liked, so I just gave up on it....damned quiters eh. But as always, with practice you'll get it, I just didn't have the patience for it, go figure. Ken

TomSwede Report post Posted April 30, 2008 Cool wallet Spider! Yeah that bone swivel would be something. The pockets and lining look great! Gotta figure that stuff out myself someday soon. Lacing is what it is, practice prectice... Cracked skull..evil Tom
freak Report post Posted April 30, 2008 Dang it !! I've been wanting need to make myself a freakin wallet, BAD ! And now you just gotta go and show me this, huh. Well done man !! I really like the way you used the circles all so. My monitor is kind of dark and i can't really see the lacing in full detail. Nor am i an expert at it in any means of the word. But one thing you might want to try is to atleast go thru the corner hole twice. Most will say 3 times. I like to go twice thru the two on each side of a corner and 3 times thru the corner. Sleep is good Roo but work is way over rated !!
Spider Report post Posted April 30, 2008 I like the "bone handled" swivel...lolThanks rdb, Yeah, I'm working on a tattoo idea and the bone swivel is on the list. I like it Spider, the skull rocks, and that background is way cool. As too the lacing, the way you laced that is the one lace I do not do, I could never get a start or finish that I liked, so I just gave up on it....damned quiters eh. But as always, with practice you'll get it, I just didn't have the patience for it, go figure.KenThanks Ken,This double loop is easy for me now that I have practiced it but some of the stuff you do is just shocking. One day brotha, one day...now thats nice, you sure do put out a lot of work...do you have a day job? or have you decided that sleep not really needed?Thank you Roo, I put out every time I can. My head does not shut up very often. Even as I type this I am thinking of things to do and finish. I have a bitch'n one coming soon. Oh, and yes I have been at my job for 11 years now and I can sometimes squeeze work like lacing, drawing or stitching on a lunch break or while cutting a sample. Oh, and then there's time with my boy and wife. ffeeeww, i'm tired just talking about it.Cool wallet Spider! Yeah that bone swivel would be something. The pockets and lining look great! Gotta figure that stuff out myself someday soon.Lacing is what it is, practice prectice...Cracked skull..evilTomThanks Tom, I bought a few wallets and tore them apart for advice. Still trying new things though. I like lacing now but you're right. practice practice is key.Agreed Freak. Work is a must so it's not as much fun as this. Dude i'd love to see a wallet from you. I say get offline and go do it. Something Freak'n Badass. Thanks for the props. I think I'm lucky for your dark monitor cause you would see all my flaws. lol Thank you all for your support. Spider Report post Posted April 30, 2008 I like the idea of the bandana liner, I wouldn't of thought of that...... I can't take full credit for that. I've seen it used here and on bags made fully of that fabric. I got it a Joanns Fabrics by the yard. Cool material. I have some with black instead of red too. very cool wallet!!love the background stuff you did. Thanks beeza, I love the seeders and the other backgrounder. I need to find me a pebbler now.
