Whit30 Posted November 22, 2010 Report Posted November 22, 2010 Hello, I am wanting to make a few christmas gifts and already have leather but I just need the patterns. Would someone be willing to send me a copy of any of these three holster patterns and instructions? I am in need of: I would truly appreciate any help you can offer. If you are willing and would have to mail them I will cover the cost of everything. I just can't buy the three kits when I already have the leather to make them and just needing the patterns. Thank you Quote
Moderator Johanna Posted November 22, 2010 Moderator Report Posted November 22, 2010 I deleted your wish list because it violates Tandy's copyright on those patterns. I understand that you have the leather, and just need the patterns, but for someone to copy and give them to you would be against the law and our terms of service. Buy the kits for the patterns and use the leather in them for other projects? Johanna Quote
Ambassador Luke Hatley Posted November 22, 2010 Ambassador Report Posted November 22, 2010 Whitt30 Buy the book "MAKING HOLSTERS" by AL STOLHMAN at Tandy . Quote
Members larryrr Posted September 12, 2011 Members Report Posted September 12, 2011 They dont cost that much..Law Dog Holster is $15.00 and you get 10 holster patterns that fit 25 of the most popular western shooting pistols... the best thing that I have is how to book on makeing holsters ...#6055-00 ...$12.99... I have it and it has all kind of holsters..patterns, tooling, layout,etc... well worth the money....Just my $.02 cents worth though Quote
King's X Posted September 12, 2011 Report Posted September 12, 2011 I would take what you have down to your local Tandy store and simply ask for a copy of the pattern. I have always found my store to be very helpful! Quote
Members TexasJack Posted September 13, 2011 Members Report Posted September 13, 2011 The Stohlman book on making holsters is really terrific, with lots of different patterns. Well worth the small cost and will provide you with more than you asked for. Quote
Members Blackey Cole Posted September 13, 2011 Members Report Posted September 13, 2011 Buy the Stolman book, you can even get it online now in PDF format. that is my prefered method of storage. I got it from Tandy's Leather Library. I also would visit the Tandy store and spend some money or even go there and have them help you with the techniques to producing a quality holster. They might even let you trace the pattern needed in the store that way. Quote
