Thanks for the encouraging comments!!! Here is the redye of the seat...the customer wanted it to be a bit rustic looking.....i still prefer the original antique dye

Very nice job,Looks fantastic,but I do agree with you on the first dye job. I think that showed the tooling a little better,But It's all about making the customer happy.

Very fine work Roo.

I like both versions but I do prefer the lighter one. I've found that most bikers prefer their seats dark.

I've only had one that took a totally no dye seat from me... just some neetsfoot oil.

Like Dave, I like them both, but......I'm leaning a bit towards the darker one myself. But it turned out great either way, and I assume the one paying is probably more than satisfied!

Bobby, after the dye, i use neatsfoot oil, then a waxy sealer i get here australia that is mostly beeswax. The final thing i have been using lately is a product called bepanthen,....it is a baby nappy rash product....it gives a waterproof finish but still lets the leather breath. Its my favorite new product.
