jbird Report post Posted December 18, 2010 sweet Mark do you have any pictures of the back I LOVE THE DESIGN IS IT YOUR OWN?
MarkB Report post Posted December 18, 2010 Here is how I do my backs on these. I put a light piece of raw hide between the lining and the front just where the circle is to help keep the lining for ripping. I like this so far and I guess you can say it is my own idea, I have never seen it be for, but I bet someone else has done it before. Mark

You just used a beveler to make the basket weave design? Do you find that easier than using the basket weave stamp?
MarkB Report post Posted December 20, 2010 wvcraftsman I have to say no it is not easier to do it this way but I have customer that like it better than the stamped version.that was one with a swivel knife a lined beveler and a border stamp. It takes some thinking to make sure you bevel it right. Mark
wvcraftsman Report post Posted December 20, 2010 It's tough to master the stamp (which I have yet to do), without all the beveling. They look great.
