This piece started out as a perfectly good piece of veg-tan two days ago.

Guess I showed it who's boss.

very nice. I really like the liner. Stitching is clean, nice piece.

I'm really not sure which part of the beating caused the cracks. That's my favorite part too.

like most (well, all) of the stuff you post, i like what what you did with the finish... it looks absolutely great.... one question though (as always,hehehe...) did you line it with fabric? and if 'yes', did you have the fabric made/printed up? or did you do it yourself? take care, hope you hade a great x-mas, and have a happy new year!

Ya, I have the linings made locally. I have started putting either my logo lining or one-off custom linings in all of my pieces.

I have no idea how he did it, but I have an idea that it this effect was created by heat, chemicals, and some physical pounding. I am thinking peroxide. I am going to try it when I get some scrap leather.
