Can anyone here tell me how to find the manufacturing date of the Phaff 1245-706/47 based on the serial number.

I am shopping for one and will be nice to know how old is the machine.

Or someone may also know when was the first and last year of production of this models.

                                    Thanks

I believe that the honey colored one was made in the late 80's to the mid 90's.  It was the last one before they went to the new style 1425 casting which was off white in color.

I do not have a serial number reference guide from Pfaff but I know one exists.

Thank you very much Gregg, I just bought one honey colored this morning !

So I learnt something : The honey Pfaff are younger than the grey "martelé" ones ... My 335 is also honey painted !

Have a good day.

This info might help date Pfaff machines based on serial number, but only if it's 1975 or earlier:

I have a Pfaff original service manual (English Version) dated 9/1989. I can scan and upload it if someone still needs it. I also have the instruction manual and the parts book, all original.
