This machine is listed for sale but the woman that has it has less of a clue than I do LOL

It has a Consew motor on it but she said the model # was DDL-8500 which I know is a Juki model # , Im sure it has been pieced together but is the head worth messing with , I was looking at it as a 2nd machine to use with 1000D cordura nylon .

Thanks everyone

There is no question it is a Pfaff. The model and mods are on the little trapezoidal plate under the reverse/stitch length lever. Might be a 145 or something like that.

Hi Bob , I think I might be able to get it for about $200.00 or maybe a little more , do you think it is worth it ? I have not seen it in person , its about an hour or so away , I just called her and she is at work , I asked her to send some better pics . She is stating the it says Juki on the front and what she gave me the # on the plate .

She also says the she bought it and never used it but Im not sure she is being truthful , Im going to take a guess and say it might have some problems , I will try it before I give her any money but its still an hour ride if I go check it out . I also cant help but wonder if someone pulled something over on her .

I will look those models up .

Thanks again Bob

$200.00 ? I would pay $200.00 Drive an hour and by her lunch if the machine was working or not. What could be the typical worst case? It needs a hook? replace the hook and sew for the rest of your life.

I recommend picking up that machine asap.

Best of luck,

Heck Yeah!! I'd give her $200./00 too!!That's a great deal.

I think worst case could be a bit more than that , I am just a bit concerned that IF someone went to all the trouble of remarking it with a different name and model # that it might need a complete rebuild and it seems like parts for the PAFF are a bit on the high side .

This is all new to me so I am being a bit cautious . I have done a ton of research on machines and Bob was kind enough to stay on the phone with me the other day while I asked him about several machines I was looking at . I don't really know the values on each brand so I have been basing value on what I have seen machines of the same type go for .

Thanks for the input

She was asking $400.00 but I told her I would willing to go $200.00 to $300.00 she didn't even blink so we will see what happens , I think she just wants to get rid of it .

Dam Bob , guess I might need to order 2 servos .
