About two months ago kimberangel and I decided on a build off. You see she and I both wanted tool cases so as a challenge I went scrounging in my stuff and came across a block of walnut and one of babinga so I cut and shaped drilled the holes and we were off and running! We both used a theme and the pattern is from Mr. Stolmans's case book both are similar but diffirent what do you think?More pictures

I think you both did a great job. And what a fun idea to both work on a project together like that! I think that's just a really neat idea.

Thanks Clay , but William is way to generous ingiving me so much credit. All i did on my case was the tooling , dye and paint. The cutting and stitching is all His work. He is a very generous leather mate. i will admit it was so much fun working on this project with Him. He is very creative and gung ho in His commitment to a project. Thanks William, i love the case!

Very nice cases! I really like them both but thought I'd mention something bout the colouring on the flying "goose". The green colouring on the tree thingies (watcha' call 'em?) is done in a way that reminds me strongly of the out of focus and motion blur that branches and stuff get's when a photo is taken with big tele lenses and panning inflight birds so I really like the way it provides some dynamics into this motif. Maybe it's just me but I think often paintings are a bit static when it comes to wildlife.

Couldn't choose either one of them, they are just so nice and I really like black swans too.

Great jobs and excellent idea with a build off!

I really like them both nice job. The one thing I think for my to bits is that the colors are maybe a little drab they are wonderfull but they kind of meld in and don't do them justices.
