Members boma Posted May 21, 2011 Members Report Posted May 21, 2011 (edited) Is it caled cover, for such a thing?I am not so sure... I tried to make it good looking and functional. Though the pattern is not fluent enough, it is the best i have done. Maybe better next time. Welcome all critique, thanks~ Edited May 21, 2011 by boma Quote

Members Glendon Posted May 21, 2011 Members Report Posted May 21, 2011 I love it. The basic pattern and sewing is very nice, I might have done something a little more contemporary for the strapping, but I still love it. The floral carving is just something else. Those big front covers do make for a great canvas if you have an eye for what to do with them.. Quote
MADMAX22 Posted May 21, 2011 Report Posted May 21, 2011 Great looking stuff Boma. I think your carving pattern flows very well and the color scheme is great. Quote

Members Rhide Posted May 21, 2011 Members Report Posted May 21, 2011 (edited) Beautiful! I also think your carving flows very nicely and the choice of colors is excellent. I just finished carving, or tooling ( I'm not sure yet what it should be called) my first checkbook cover. It'll be a while before I will be posting pictures. Edited May 21, 2011 by Rhide Quote

I also would like to pull my hat....it is a plessure and great honor to have such great artwork and outstanding craftman ship among us here in this forum!!!! Thanks for sharing, this will make most of us try to reach higher standards....an inspiration, that's for sure.... Ohhh, and if u ever do one with flames and skulls....please show it....haha... Members boma Posted May 23, 2011 Author Members Report Posted May 23, 2011 Hi Jimbob, I am not sure if I have the honor to take in all your kind words. But I will work harder ,thanks! I do have some interest on flames and skulls, because there are cool, and I do not wanna be "out". I even designed a skull logo for my "raw" works. But frankly,it is not very natural for me ,and I need to learn more about this culture. Here is the only skull(my logo) i have done ,a tool for holding the leather when carving. It is more like a test. Quote

When that day comes you will be crowned as the best leatherworker on Earth because this is really awesome to me. My only critique is that you didn't get $1000 or more for it. Or did you? :-) Really great work, thank you for sharing. I will look a little closer to see if I can find anything I'd change. Does it allow the Ipad to sit at a nice viewing angle? That's the big thing on most cases I have seen when looking at people using theirs in cafes. Quote
