Finished tooling another seat top tonight. Tryin to decide on what to do, as far as, color goes...

I'd probably do the skin in golden oak. The hair - 1st layer in pink then use red and yellow to give the hair a fiery look. Leaning towards black on the garments but don't want to hide the details in your artwork.

I like that. Very cool. It it were me painting it (assuming I wouldn't screw it up... which I most likely would) I'd leave the skin area natural, red gloves, white shirt, and blue shorts, dirty blond/ streaky brunette look on the hair, and medium brown background (or whatever color would go with the bike). That's just me though...

Nice job on the carving- I hope you update with some pics once you decide on your color scheme.

Put a good amount of Snow Proof on it, throw it in the summer sun for a few hours and call it done. It'll look great!

I hear ya, I have yet to "paint" anything goin on a bike! Of the several tool bags and couple of seats I've done, I only use dye, Fieblings so far. Btw, I am a huge fan of yur work and really just gettin started in this stuff, would love to hook up and pick yur brain, being yur right up 128 from me. Your work doesn't need much help. Just keep working and develop your own style. Don't over do the skulls....work on truely different art work..... best advice I can give anyone.

Thanks for the compliment and advice Dave, comin from a man of your talent, that means alot! I just keep comin back to the skull as subject for the leatherwork, will be tryin some new material as far as subject matter, comin up after I finish the toolbag I'm workin on for my bike.
