Sucker Punch threw me a curve with this last order. They wanted me to go back to some of the older trademarks. So here is the result. Both seats have the "fast basketweave" that Shirley showed us a while back. Comments and critiques welcome as always.

The seat with the black kangaroo lace will be a black to tan fade or maybe an all black version of the seat.

Hi Dave,

I haven't been doing much of anything since I moved house. Half my workshop is still packed up in fact. I've made five seats in the past year. Partly due to the move, but mainly due to the fact that my kid has had some bad kidney problems. Four emergency room visits in the last eight months. However, we now know that it is nothing too serious, and surgery probably won't be neccessary, so that's a load off! It's hard to govern a ten year old's pee habits though, lol. They tend to lie to you.

Now I want to get back to my old man's saddle bags. I'll take lots of pics and try to do a tutorial.

Shirley,

That is good news for a lot of reasons, mostly because your child's illness isn't going to require surgery. I'm so sorry that you've had such a rough year. I hope things will start to smooth out a bit and you will be able to get back to some of your beautiful leather work.

I'll look forward to your tutorial, I've been wanting to do a bag for a rigid for a long time. Maybe your tutorial will inspire me to get going on it.

Take care,

Dave
